Daegu National University of Education (DNUE) is an only institution that is focusing on educating elementary school teachers in Daegu/Gyeongbuk area. Since its foundation in 1950, DNUE has trained and nurtured many good teachers. Education is not an easy task as it is to teach the present based on past experiences to prepare for the future. In particular, DNUE focuses on following matters given the fact that elementary school education should prepare for a farther future.

First, we are strengthening the capabilities of future teachers by opening courses for convergence education to prepare for the 4^th industrial revolution and the era of artificial intelligence.

Second, we are maximizing the research capabilities to increase our identity as a university dedicated to nurturing teachers and supporting our students fully to keep the highest teacher appointment rate across the nation.

Third, we are dramatically improving our programs such as graduate school, education training institute and life-long education enter to provide refresher training to teachers and contribute to the society.
