Philosophy of Education

Philosophy of Education
The Philosophy of Education program explores the "why" of teaching and learning as a guide to the "what" and "how" of teaching and learning. More specifically, students will try to investigate philosophical justifications of various practices, and historical changes of educational theories and practices in the context of current sociocultural conditions. The curriculum includes educational philosophy, history and policy among the major courses of study as well as epistemology, ethics, aesthetics, and religions as their base.
